The challenge
The slope was pushing soil and water downhill into the usable yard, and any wall built without drainage would eventually bow out.
How we built it
We dug a compacted leveling pad, backfilled with clean drainage stone and a perforated pipe, and locked in geogrid between courses to tie the wall to the hillside.
The result
A long curved wall that holds the grade, drains properly, and adds a set of stone steps connecting the upper and lower yard.
